Hello! I am a postdoctoral fellow with the Modeling Interdisciplinary Inquiry project at Washington University in St. Louis. My research addresses problems in the philosophy of physics and the epistemology of simulation, particularly in the context of astrophysics and cosmology. I also have research interests in the ethics of machine learning and other problems at the intersection of philosophy and modeling. I spend a lot of time thinking about the strengths and limitations of formal systems in contexts of practical application.

I completed my PhD in Philosophy at the department of Logic & Philosophy of Science at the University of California, Irvine. In addition, I hold an MS in Physics from DePaul University and a BS/BA in Theoretical Physics/Applied Mathematics and Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago.
